WorkforceFDV is delivered by a consortium. Each partner brings distinct expertise and perspectives, and together they cover the breadth of the Western Australian family and domestic violence workforce.
Lead Partner: Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing
The Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing provides specialist family and domestic violence knowledge and expertise.
WA’s independent, representative peak body for women’s specialist family and domestic violence services, as well as the state’s peak body for women’s community health and sexual assault services. CWSW is deeply embedded within the state’s FDV system and delivers advocacy, coordination, knowledge translation, policy development, and sector development for specialist FDV services and victim-survivors. As the Lead Partner, CWSW provides the specialist FDV practice and systems expertise, and deep connections across the FDV sector, including through its Lived Experience Advisory Group.

Stopping Family Violence
WA’s peak body focused on supporting an effective system response to perpetrators of family and domestic violence. Stopping Family Violence provides prevention education, professional development for frontline workers, and community engagement initiatives aimed at changing social attitudes toward violence while prioritising victim safety and supporting programs that modify harmful behaviours. SFV provides valuable specialist knowledge, particularly in perpetrator accountability and intervention approaches, and experience in delivering FDV Workforce development activities, and a deep understanding of the FDV system and sector.

Council of Aboriginal Services WA
WA’s peak body for the Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) sector who focus on advancing Aboriginal self-determination and strengthening community-controlled service delivery across the state. CASWA provides cultural expertise in the design, delivery and review of WorkforceFDV activities and cultural leadership in its operations.
Aboriginal Health Council of WA
The leading authority for Aboriginal health in WA supporting and representing 23 Member Aboriginal Community Controlled health services across the state. AHCWA focuses on advocacy, policy development, capacity building, and strengthening the sector to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities. AHCWA provides cultural and FDV expertise and experience in workforce and organisational development support.

Community Skills WA
A vital intermediary between industry sectors and training providers across WA, including the community services and health sectors. CSWA provides strategic advice to the WA State Training Board and Department of Training and Workforce Development to help bridge the gaps between industry needs and training capabilities to develop skilled workforces. CSWA provides workforce development expertise and links with the training and workforce development sectors, to guide workforce planning activities and identify implementable actions that will effectively grow and strengthen the FDV workforce.

Professor Donna Chung, Care+Justice Group, Curtin School of Allied Health
Professor Chung has worked in policy, research, and evaluation in family and domestic violence with both survivors and those using violence and coercion. Professor Chung provides an evidence-based approach to workforce planning and to monitoring WorkforceFDV’s progress and impact. Her understanding of tertiary systems and curriculum development will strengthen WorkforceFDV’s capacity to engage with and influence universities and training providers.

How the partnership is structured
The Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing holds the funding contract and employs the team. Beneath it, a Governance Committee sets strategic direction, and the Executive Director leads delivery. The Operational Steering Group is where the consortium coordinates that delivery.
