Supporting the family and domestic violence workforce in WA.

Who we are and what we do

What is WorkforceFDV

WorkforceFDV is Western Australia’s dedicated Family and Domestic Violence Workforce Entity. Our goal is to support and develop a workforce with the skills and knowledge to deliver safety-focused, informed and culturally appropriate responses to child and adult victim-survivors, and users of violence.

We work with the family and domestic violence workforces at an individual, organisation and system level to support their capability to respond to and reduce family and domestic violence in WA.

Our objectives

  • Help the family and domestic violence workforce understand their roles and responsibilities at an individual, organisation and system level.
  • Build an understanding of the strengths, gaps and opportunities of the workforce and use this to deliver workforce development.
  • Support capability building through setting standards and facilitating access to high quality training.
  • Collaborate with other organisations to support implementation and improve ways of working.

Partnership

Working in Partnership is at the heart of who we are and how we operate. We are a consortium of Partners with a broad range of expertise across the family and domestic violence system.

Our Collective Experience

The Consortium partners bring together rich experience, connections and capability including family and domestic violence specialist practice and system knowledge, cultural expertise and stewardship, workforce development expertise, and family and domestic violence research and knowledge to practice expertise.
