How WorkforceFDV is governed, who leads it, and how decisions are made.

Members are drawn from across the Western Australian family and domestic violence service system, ensuring that a wide range of views informs the strategic direction and priorities of WorkforceFDV.

Lead Partner: Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing
The Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing is the independent, representative peak body for women’s specialist family and domestic violence services, sexual assault services and women’s community health services.
They provide the specialist family and domestic violence practice and systems expertise, and deep connections across the family and domestic violence sector.
As the lead partner, they hold the funding contract and employ the team.
Executive Director and team
The Executive Director leads a team of five staff members to deliver WorkforceFDV with the Operational Steering Group.

The Operational Steering Group guides how WorkforceFDV delivers against the direction set by the Governance Committee.
How decisions are made
The line of accountability.
The Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing holds the funding contract and employs the team. Beneath it, a Governance Committee sets strategic direction and the Executive Director leads delivery. The Operational Steering Group is where the consortium coordinates that delivery.
Lead Partner: Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing holds the contract at the top of the structure. Below it, the Governance Committee and the Executive Director and team sit as peers — one governing, one delivering. They inform each other; neither has authority over the other. The Operational Steering Group reports to the Executive Director and team and is made up of the consortium delivery partners: Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing, Stopping Family Violence, Aboriginal Health Council of WA, Council of Aboriginal Services WA, Community Skills WA, Care+Justice Group.
