WorkforceFDV and its partners respectfully acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians and Aboriginal people of Australia.

We recognise their enduring spiritual and cultural connection to lands, waters, skies and communities, and their continued practice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, beliefs and knowledge. For more than 60,000 years, Aboriginal people cared for Country through sophisticated agricultural systems, environmental stewardship, and traditional land management practices.

Non-Aboriginal partners of WorkforceFDV are committed to walking alongside Aboriginal Community Controlled partner organisations and Aboriginal people in genuine partnership, listening and learning from the expertise of Aboriginal people. We value their contributions to the sector and to our work across Western Australia.

We acknowledge the strength and resilience of adults, children and young people who have experienced family and domestic violence. We pay our respects to those who did not survive, and we acknowledge the deep hurt of families who have lost loved ones to this preventable and widespread issue. We are committed to ensuring our work is informed by lived experience.
